How does Pass the Note keep messages safe?
Pass the Note is designed so that every note is reviewed by AI moderation before it's delivered: notes that aren't safe or age-appropriate are held for parent review rather than passed along to your child. That's the safety model we're building — the app is not released yet.
Who is Pass the Note for?
It's being built for kids whose parents want a safer first messaging experience — a place to stay close to friends, with you in control of who they connect with.
Do parents have to approve every friend?
Yes — dual approval is core to the design. Kids will only be able to connect with contacts a parent has approved, and both sides confirm before a connection is made. You're in control, every step of the way.
How does Pass the Note approach children's privacy?
Privacy comes first. Accounts are parent-provisioned, and verifiable parental consent is required before a child can use Pass the Note. We don't sell personal information or use advertising trackers. Our Privacy Policy explains what the website, parent portal, and kids experience collect—including the limited beta.
